AI Receptionist

A missed call is not a delayed job. It is a lost job. The homeowner does not leave a voicemail and wait, they hang up and dial the next company on the list. That is the whole problem, and most trades miss a large share of their calls for the most understandable reason there is: the crew is on a roof, under a house, or in a crawlspace with a phone in a truck cup holder.

The AI receptionist answers on the first ring, every time, at any hour. It tells the caller what it is, asks what they need, answers the questions it can answer about your services and how you price, and books the appointment straight onto your calendar. If the caller wants a person, it hands them to a person.

How it works

How we run the AI receptionist.

It answers and it identifies itself. The agent says it is an assistant for your company, and if a caller asks whether they are talking to a person, it says no. We do not build it to pretend. Contractors worry about this and the honest version performs better anyway, because a caller who knows what they are dealing with asks direct questions and gets direct answers instead of feeling tricked halfway through.

Then it qualifies. Name, phone number, address or at least the town, the trade of the job, and what is actually happening. It is trained on your services, your service area, and how you talk about price, so when someone asks what a pump out or a spring replacement usually runs, they get your answer, not a made up one. If a question falls outside what you gave it, it says it will have someone follow up rather than guessing.

When the caller is a real job, it books. The agent reads your calendar, offers open windows, puts the appointment on the books, and sends a confirmation text with the details. You wake up to a scheduled day instead of a voicemail queue you have to work through between stops.

After hours is where it earns its keep, particularly in emergency trades. Plumbing, septic, and garage door calls do not respect business hours. A backed up line at eleven at night or a door that will not close at five in the morning is somebody calling three companies in a row until a human voice answers. Today those calls hit your voicemail and go to whoever picks up next. With the agent answering, you either capture the emergency and get transferred if it qualifies as one, or it is booked first thing in the morning before your competitor ever hears about it.

Straight answers

Common questions about the AI receptionist.

Will callers know they are talking to AI?
Yes. The agent identifies itself as an assistant, and if anyone asks directly whether they are speaking to a person, it says no. It also hands off to a human whenever a caller asks. We will not set it up to impersonate a person.
What happens on a real emergency?
Emergencies get routed, not booked. The agent is set up with the conditions you define (no water, sewage backing up, a door stuck open) and on those it transfers to whoever is on call or texts and rings you directly instead of offering a Tuesday window.
Can it quote prices?
It can give the ranges and the flat figures you give it, phrased the way you phrase them, and it will say a real estimate depends on the site visit. It does not invent numbers, and anything outside what you provided becomes a callback rather than a guess.
Does this replace my office person?
No, and we would not sell it that way. It covers the calls nobody is free to take: nights, weekends, and the stretch when your office person is already on another line. If you have someone answering phones, the agent is the backstop behind them.

What are you interested in?

Pick as many as you like, or none if you are not sure yet.

No obligation. We will tell you straight what we would do.
