X API Compliance

Overview

Peak Local Service Leads uses the X API through a private, owner only application to manage our own X account, https://x.com/PeakLocalLeads. The application acts only on that account.

What the application does

• Publish posts and threads, with images and alt text.
• Delete our own posts.
• Read our own posts and mentions.
• Reply to posts that mention us.
• Search public posts to find local service business owners relevant to our services.
• Follow relevant accounts.
• Send direct messages only to people who messaged us first or asked to receive a report, for example by replying SCAN.

Automation and conduct

We follow the X Developer Agreement and Policy and the X Automation Rules. We do not send unsolicited bulk direct messages, do not post duplicate or spam content, do not run aggressive follow or unfollow activity, do not manipulate trends, and do not post on behalf of other accounts.

Content management and deletion

We can edit our posting schedule and delete any of our posts at any time. When a post is deleted on X, by us or by a user whose content we stored, we delete our stored copy promptly and within 24 hours of learning about it. We honor all deletion and modification requests that X passes to developers.

Data we access and store

We store OAuth tokens, kept encrypted and never shared, our own post IDs and content, and mentions and messages sent to our account, used only to reply and to deliver requested reports. We do not sell X data, do not share it with third parties, and do not use it to build profiles of users beyond responding to them.

Revoking access

The account owner can revoke the app at any time in X settings under Security and account access, Apps and sessions, Connected apps.
