Twenty years on your side of the table

I have been in business for over twenty years and I have built five companies. The number is not the useful part. The useful part is that I have sat exactly where you are sitting right now, deciding whether to hand money to somebody who says they can bring me work.

I have been the person waiting for the phone to ring with payroll due on Friday. I have also been the person who could not answer it, because I was already on a job with my hands full, and I found out later that the caller went with whoever picked up. I have also paid agencies and then reached the end of the month with no honest way to tell whether any of it did anything.

The books, and why they matter here

I am a national bestselling author on business systems and marketing. I bring it up for one reason only, which is that it tells you how I think about this work. The writing is not about clever campaigns. It is about building systems that keep running when the owner is busy.

That is the actual problem a company with two trucks has. Not a lack of ideas. A lack of anything that happens without the owner personally doing it. Every system we run for a client, from local SEO to review requests that go out on their own to call answering and follow up, came out of solving that same problem for myself, repeatedly, in businesses where I was the one who paid for getting it wrong.

Why Lavon, and why these towns

We are in Lavon, Texas. J&N Peak LLC is registered here, and this is where the work gets done. The service stack runs nationwide, and most clients we will never stand in the same room with, because the systems do not care where you are.

But for the businesses in the towns around us, being able to sit at your table instead of scheduling a call is a real difference. You know where to find me afterward. Nationwide for the service, local for the relationship.

What we will not do

This is the part that matters most if an agency has already burned you.

• We do not gate reviews. Asking only the happy customers and routing the unhappy ones somewhere quiet is against Google policy, and it makes your rating worthless to the person reading it.
• We do not write or buy fake reviews. Not for anyone, at any price. Invented praise gets filtered, and when it survives it still reads as invented.
• We do not promise you a specific Google ranking. Nobody can. Local search builds over months and then holds. Anyone naming a position and a date is guessing.
• We do not require a twelve month contract to find out whether this works. If it is working you will know from your own phone log, and you will not need to be locked in.
• If we cannot do something, we say so. That includes telling you when you do not need us. If your reviews are steady and somebody answers on the second ring, the honest answer is that your money is better spent elsewhere, and that is what you will hear.
