Comment to Lead

Comments are the most wasted lead source in home services. Somebody types "how much for something like this" under a photo of a finished patio. That is not a browser, that is a buyer telling you what they want. And it usually gets answered three days later, or never, because nobody in the company is assigned to the Facebook page.

Comment to lead catches those the moment they happen. A public reply goes on the comment, a private message with real information and a booking link goes to the person, and you get an email so you know a live prospect just raised their hand.

How it works

How we run comment to lead.

The trigger is the comment itself, and the response is immediate. A homeowner who is curious enough to type a question under a job photo is engaged right now, on their phone, probably in the evening. Answering while that is still true is worth far more than answering carefully on Monday. Waiting until Monday is why most of these go nowhere.

The public reply comes first, and it is short and helpful rather than a wall of sales copy. Something that acknowledges the question and points them to a direct message. That reply does double duty: the person gets an answer, and every other person reading the comments sees a company that responds. On social platforms a post with active comments and replies also gets pushed to more people, so answering lifts the reach of the post you already paid for in labor and photos.

The private message carries the substance. What the job in the photo involved, roughly what that kind of work runs when you are willing to say, your service area, and a link to book an estimate. It arrives as a normal message from your page, not a form letter, and the conversation continues right there. Most people will happily talk in a direct message about a project they will not fill out a form for.

You get notified either way. An email lands with the comment, the person, the post it came from, and what has already been sent, so you can jump in whenever you want without starting over. Nothing here depends on you noticing a red dot on an app. The point is that a serious question never sits unanswered for three days again.

Straight answers

Common questions about comment to lead.

Does it reply to every comment?
No. It is set up around the comments that indicate real interest (price questions, availability, "do you do this in my area") and it leaves the tagged friends and the emoji alone. Replying to everything looks automated because it is.
Can it accidentally answer something wrong in public?
The public reply is deliberately kept simple: acknowledge, offer to send details. Nothing that commits you to a number or a timeline in front of an audience. The specifics happen in the private message where the context is actually known.
Which platforms does this work on?
Facebook and Instagram, since that is where home service comment activity mostly lives. If you run a page on another platform we will look at whether it can be wired in the same way.
What if I want to answer comments myself?
Then it can be set to reply publicly and notify you, and leave the private message to you. Most contractors start there and hand more of it over once they see what the response times look like.

We will tell you what we would run first and why.

What are you interested in?

Pick as many as you like, or none if you are not sure yet.

No obligation. We will tell you straight what we would do.
